The 2027 Jeep Wagoneer S will return with some choice updates.

Some EVs are facing serious sales headwinds right now, and one of the most profound examples is the Jeep Wagoneer S. So far in 2026, the automaker has sold just 175 examples — down a whopping 93% from the first three months of 2025. Back then, at least Jeep dealers were able to shift 2,489 units. Now, following a report from Automotive News, Jeep is hitting the pause button on Wagoneer S, though like the VW ID.Buzz, the automaker insists its disappearance is not permanent, and that we’ll see it back in showrooms for Model Year 2027.

After skipping 2026 production, the 2027 Jeep Wagoneer S should return with some choice improvements to improve its curb appeal with interested buyers. That includes a shift over to the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, as well as potential performance and software updates, according to the AN report.

A Stellantis spokesperson also mentioned that those who want a Wagoneer S now will still have the opportunity. 2025 models are still available to lease or purchase from dealer inventory. At the moment, it is a bit unclear exactly how many units that translates too, but similar moves with EVs suggest there is enough stock left to tide over the existing demand, until an updated model arrives.

Right now, Jeep is offering $7,750 retail cash or 0% financing on Wagoneer S models for 72 months. That deal expires on April 30.
